i'm more of an abc 6 news girl myself ("there's that news van again!" and cause really no one beats jim gardner...no one!) but somehow or other i got hypnotized watching terry ruggles try out different salons in the area that are currently "going green" by having facial masks slathered on his face. he has been a staple in the philadelphian news collective for my entire life and he's always been a bit of an oddball.
the guy has a completely bizarre way of reporting any bit of news. there's a lot of stammering, odd pauses and staring into space and honestly he seems a bit...touched.
anyway it's recently occurred to me that it's possible the the ruggles is just one in a set of creepy mccreeperson seperated at birth triplets.
a holy trinity of creepiness. a creeptastic triumvirate if you will.
so there's weirdo news guy terry ruggles.
there's the longtime local dick clark wannabe jerry "the geator with the heater" blavat. (i will never ever understand this guy's purpose...is it just to annoy and be obnoxious?)
and then of course there's famous creepster character actor willem dafoe.
i swear. they are all cut from the same cloth.
(i'm sure this is good source material for nightmares for AT LEAST a week...did i purposely try to find the creepiest pictures of each of them? oh you bet i did! )
