this was fun

1 - Go to "wikipedia." Hit “random... Read More”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.

this was my result:

i SWEAR i didn't cheat-it just so happened to be the wikipedia article was about sharks...weird. the quote was from charles schulz. the picture is pretty cool.
i don't know why but i think if i saw this album cover i would think the band would sound like belly or some other kind of poppy 90s band of that ilk.

biting my nails

i've always loved renegade soundwave's song "biting my nails" ever since i special ordered a copy of their anthology when an ex boyfriend put one of their songs on a mix cd for me (btw the song he actually put on the mix cd for me was "murder music" which i think was supposed to be complimentary not creepy).

the video is soooooo nineties!

my dear friend kell who is always in the know pointed out to me today that it is actually a cover.

i could not be more suprised to hear what a huge difference there is between rsw's cover and the original version by genevieve waite who i had never heard of.
the genevieve waite version reminds me of some kind of mix between betty boop, janet weiss in rocky horror picture show, kylie minogue and blondie.

"I've been swimming in the dirty water
I've been swimming where the fish won't go"

william and jim were really on to something...
